Dr. Heidi Hildahl comes to the Montana Department of Livestock with 7 years of experience as an Extension veterinarian and Beef Quality Assurance Coordinator and 15 years of experience as a biomedical researcher. She has dual doctorate degrees in molecular biology and veterinary science from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and Oklahoma State University Center for Veterinary Health Sciences, respectively. Her work as the Arkansas Extension veterinarian required her involvement in several regulatory committees including the Arkansas Animal Disease Traceability Committee and the Arkansas Feral Hog Eradication Task Force. She also taught and coordinated several veterinary continuing educations courses for the Arkansas Food Animal Medicine Workshop Series, which was funded by a USDA NIFA VSGP grant. She also served as the official veterinarian for the Arkansas State Fair for 4 years.
