Twenty-two-year Army Veterinary Corp veteran, serving 10 years in Civil Affairs, conducting missions throughout Africa working to improve partner nation regulatory veterinary capabilities. Completed three overseas deployments, leading multidiscipline medical professionals, and lead civil affairs operations during two large multinational exercises.
Current president of the National Association of Federal Veterinarians 2025-2027, serving on the AVMA House of Delegates (HOD). Spearheading an effort to change AVMA by-laws to avoid unintentional removal of Allied Associations from the HOD. Working with the AVMA HOD and Government Relations Division (GRD) to support the USDA Secretary's Rural Veterinary Action Plan (RVAP) to increase the number of regulatory veterinarians and ensure pay equity with the private sector.
Currently employed as the USDA APHIS VS Emergency Coordinator for UT/NV. Trained in ICS 100-200, 300, 400, 700, 800, Operations Section Chief, Plans Section Chief, Logistics Section Chief, and Threat Hazard Identification Risk Analysis - Stakeholder Preparedness review. Credentialed ICS 300/ 400 instructor. Trained and experienced Disease Reporting Officer for VS.
